On January 26, 1958 a legend was born…
Her name was Ellen Degeneres. She went on to become one of the most successful and influential people in the world.
Exactly 38 years later, Ryan Sheehan was born. (That's me!)
I'm a recent graduate from Quinnipiac University with two BA's in Theater and Film-- my two passions in life. I am now beginning my professional career, in which I hope to find new and creative ways to develop my craft as an actor. I’ve already had lots of exciting opportunities!
Here are just a couple of the coolest highlights of my career thus far;
I have written, directed and acted in a combined total of eight new plays that received world premieres at The Barrow Group and Abingdon Theatre Company in New York City.
I've helped develop new works at Manhattan Theatre Club, New England Theatre Conference and Quinnipiac University alongside industry professionals including Broadway veteran Bill Nabel! (He was very cool.)
I was recently featured in an informational video series produced by Aetna to spread awareness about the impact and treatment of patients with opioid use disorder. I played a heroin addict. Sorry mom!
Recently I’ve been acting at theaters around Cape Cod, including Cape Repertory Theatre, where I originated the role of Shawn in a brand new play called The Tuna Goddess. I plan to continue pursuing my dream of becoming a working actor. Some of my dream roles are Jamie in The Last Five Years, Johnny in American Idiot, and Guy in Once.
I currently live in Sandwich, MA. (I attended Sandwich High School. I live relatively close to one or two sandwich shops. The town police cars say "Sandwich Police" on them. It's all very funny.) In my free time I love playing video games, watching movies and playing guitar.
